DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Bands, with the support of the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Department of Music, once again presents a summertime favorite: the Summer Community Band. This group, which is open to Southeastern students, staff, faculty, and any Texoma area community member, is a way for instrumental musicians of all abilities to have an opportunity to perform as part of a concert band.
Rehearsals will take place on May 11, 18, and 24 at 6 p.m. The group will perform a concert on Memorial Day — May 25. Members will be accepted on any standard woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments. For those without access to an instrument, equipment may be made available by Southeastern’s Department of Music.
